We are pleased to announce that the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) has approved several of Iteris’ smart detection sensors for traffic operations, data collection and ITS applications. The approved products include:

Vantage Next® – A next-generation video detection system that utilizes the latest processors to accurately detect vehicles at the stop bar, as well as bicycles and pedestrians.

VantageRadius® – A high-definition 4D radar technology for stop bar and advance detection of vehicles at the intersection with a built-in camera for intersection monitoring.

Vantage Vector® – An all-in-one sensor that combines the latest video and radar technology for stop bar and advance detection. An ideal sensor for advanced safety, signal performance measures and adaptive control applications.

As with other state Departments of Transportation (DOTs), NMDOT’s diligent product evaluation program is intended to screen, evaluate and approve products and materials to be listed on the state’s approved or qualified products list (APL/QPL). NMDOT’s approval of the three products will allow the products to be implemented across local, county and state projects.
